Category: Instructor Training
Sports: Ski/Snowboard
Age: Adult
Level: Intermediate/Advanced

Snowminds, in close partnership with the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance and renowned ski schools, like Mount Washington Alpine Resort, offers you the opportunity to become a ski or snowboard instructor in Canada. As a company built by former ski instructors, the work we do is highly personal for us and we have successfully trained more than 2,500 ski and snowboard instructors worldwide in the last seven years. If you have a passion for snow, we hope to get to know you and help make the next adventure one that stays with you for life.

The Instructor Course
You will receive a 3-week comprehensive training program with a careful focus on your technique and development both on and off-piste. Our experienced coaches will work with you individually to improve your understanding of different terrain, mountain safety, and everything else you need to learn to become a competent instructor. The course then culminates with you becoming a certified Level 1 instructor in Canada with a job guarantee.

Job Guarantee
After the successful completion of the training program, you will be enrolled as a ski instructor intern at the Mt Washington Snow Sports School. In this role, you will get to work a full Canadian winter season in what we humbly consider to be the world's best job. Of course, you will have to work hard to achieve your qualification, but we will support you all the way and are proud to say we have a 100% passing rate in Mount Washington Alpine Resort.

How
Everyone with basic ski or snowboard skills can become an instructor. The most important thing is that you have the motivation. When you apply for Snowminds, we will first call you for an interview where you can hear more about Snowminds, what to expect from the experience and to make sure your profile fits with the Mount Washington Alpine Resort’s standards.

Off-piste Course
In addition to your CSIA Level 1 course, you can also add 20 days of backcountry training together with Snowminds and an experienced CSGA (Canadian Ski Guide Association) certified guide in Mount Washington Alpine Resort. This internationally acclaimed off-piste course offers you the chance to take the first big step towards being a professional off-piste guide. At the end of the prep course, you will be ready to pass the 8-day Operation Level 1 exam with flying colours.

11-week Course - Level 1 and Level 2
We have furthermore created an 11-week training course, which gives you the opportunity to enjoy the snow and focus 100% on developing your own technique during the winter season on ski or snowboard. Our starting point is your current technical level, so you can participate whether you are a beginner or an expert. After the season you will be educated Canadian Level 1 and 2 Instructor, which will certainly develop you tremendously and will allow you to work a season as a ski instructor or snowboard instructor.

The first step is to send us an email and get the conversation started. We look forward to hearing from you.
