The Comox Business in Action (BIA) kicks off the summer season with the Annual Summer Fest on Saturday, June 28 (please note, this event’s date has changed to June 28th). This event is a community favourite that brings summer fun to the streets of downtown Comox.
Event highlights include:
- Over 50 vendors featuring artisans and merchants on Comox Ave
- Live Entertainment on the Main Stage
- Local downtown businesses offering specials and features
Family friendly activities including bounce-a-rama and face painting - Events happening at Comox Centre Mall
Entertainment Schedule
10am–10:30am: Ukulele Morning, with Anela Kahiamoe & Craig Stewart
Kick off your day at Summer Fest with a fun, interactive performance of ukulele popular favourites and greatest hits.
10:30am–11:30am: Moonshine
Moonshine has quickly established themselves as a vibrant force in the Comox Valley music scene, blending the best of rock, country, and dance to create unforgettable experiences. Whether you’re a seasoned two-stepper or a line dancer eager to hit the floor, Moonshine guarantees a day of dancing and fun that will leave you wanting more.
12pm–1pm: Daryll Duus and the Gentlemen of Leisure
Daryll Duus and the Gentlemen of Leisure are not just musicians; they are storytellers, taking audiences on a journey through the heart and soul of the blues. Their repertoire includes a mix of modernized covers that pay homage to classic blues legends, alongside upbeat original tracks that showcase their creativity and musicianship.
1:30pm–2:30pm: The Optimists
The Optimists are known for their infectious energy and ability to generate a party atmosphere at every performance. With a repertoire filled with hits that range from foot-stomping anthems to soulful ballads, their shows are designed to uplift spirits and keep the dance floor alive. So let’s dance, celebrate and embrace the optimism that life has to offer, one song at a time.
3pm–4:30pm: Mardi Gras Mumbo
Mardi Gras Mambo brings you an electrifying musical performance that brings audiences straight to the heart of New Orleans with a musical journey spanning decades of New Orleans hits performed by the Mardi Gras Mambo Band. Every note is guaranteed to bring the heart and energy of a New Orleans Mardi Gras to life.
