Season Pass Terms & Conditions

By purchasing and/or using a season pass, the passholder agrees to abide by all posted rules, policies, and these Terms & Conditions

·         Season Passes remain the property of Mount Washington Alpine Resort and may be revoked for misuse or violation of the Skier Responsibility Code.

·         Passes cannot be shared, transferred, or sold.

·         Use of a pass by anyone other than the registered passholder will result in immediate cancellation.

·         If another person uses your pass, it may be confiscated, and you may be subject to a penalty (e.g., $150) and/or permanent suspension of pass privileges.

·         All Pass Products are illegal to resell.

·         Identification may be required to verify validity.

·         New passholders must provide proof of age and address, even if part of an existing family account.

·         All age category cut-off dates are as of December 31, 2026.

·         Personal information collected online is used for processing passes, related communications, promotional purposes, and emergency contact. Information is for internal use and will not be disclosed except as permitted or required by law.

·          Lost, stolen, or missing season pass cards are subject to a $20 reprint fee. The passholder is responsible for reporting lost or stolen cards promptly. 

·         Season Passes are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Refund Policy – Terms and Conditions
Refunds are only available if the Refundable Option was purchased at the time of sale. The Refundable Option is not applicable to conditions, weather events, limited terrain, reduced operations, or operational interruptions of any kind. If the Refundable Option was not purchased, no refund can be issued under any circumstances.

Refunds are only available if the Refundable Option was purchased at the time of sale, and only in cases of:

·         Illness or injury that prevents use of the pass for the duration or remainder of the ski season. Refunds do not apply to interim or temporary injuries/illnesses.

·         Employment-related relocation: A mandatory transfer by the passholder’s current employer requiring relocation off Vancouver Island and surrounding islands. Voluntary relocation for work or travel does not qualify.

Current dated supporting documentation is required.

If the Refundable Option was not purchased, no refund can be issued.

Required Supporting Documentation
Illness or Injury

·         A current doctor’s note confirming injury or illness

·         MRI reports, radiology/laboratory reports, and prescriptions are not accepted as official documentation

Employment-Related Relocation

·         Proof of relocation by current employer off Vancouver Island and surrounding islands due to employment transfer.

Refundable Option Overview

The add-on Refundable Option allows you to receive a pro-rated refund of your season pass for the following qualifying reasons:
1. Medical An injury or illness that prevents use of the pass for the remainder of the season. Refunds do not apply to interim or temporary injuries/illnesses.
2. Employment Transfer A mandatory transfer by the passholder’s current employer requiring relocation off Vancouver Island and surrounding islands.
 Voluntary relocation for work or travel does not qualify.

If a qualifying event affects a passholder, any family member who also purchased the Refundable Option and is unable to ski for the remainder of the season may qualify for a refund.

Refunds are not available for any reason not listed above.

Refundable Option
Please note: This is not an insurance product. If you require insurance coverage, please contact a licensed insurance broker.

The Refundable Option provides limited protection for unforeseen circumstances affecting your pass. The refundable option is not applicable to conditions or reduced operations.

You must purchase the Refundable Option at the same time as your Pass Product. It cannot be added afterward. If you do not wish to purchase it, you may opt out at the time of purchase.
Cost of Enrollment

·         $49 – Gold, Alpine, and Midweek Season Passes

·         $29 – Nordic Season Pass

Season Pass Products provide unlimited seasonal access and include:

·         Gold

·         Alpine

·         Midweek

·         Nordic

Important Notice

The refundable option does not cover interruption, shutdown, or shortening of the season for any reason, including pandemics or extreme weather.

All claims are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia. Exclusive jurisdiction is in British Columbia courts.

A. Benefits
A portion of the amount paid for a Pass Product will be refunded if the passholder is unable to use all or part of the pass due to a Qualifying Incident.

·         Discounts, vouchers, credits, and the Refundable Option fee are not refundable.

·         Refunded or partially refunded passes will be deactivated.

Eligibility

1.    Refundable Option must be purchased for each individual Pass Product.

2.    Coverage begins immediately upon purchase.

3.    Coverage ends on the final day of winter operations for the 2026/2027 season.

Pre-Season Incidents

If a Qualifying Incident occurs before the official season start, the full Pass Product price will be refunded (excluding the Refundable Option fee and any credits).

In-Season Incidents for Gold, Alpine or Midweek passes

 Amount Paid – (Days Used × Usage Fee) – Refundable Option Fee

Usage fees are based on the average weekday/weekend day ticket pricing for the 2026/2027 season and age category. 


Refundable option for Nordic season passes
Refund amount pro-rated based on date of submission minus refundable option fee

·         Prior to opening - 100% of original pass purchase

·         Up to Dec 31, 2026 - 75% of original pass purchase

·         Jan 31, 2027 - 50% of original pass purchase

·         Feb 28, 2027 - 25% of original pass purchase

·         March 1, 2027 onward - no refund

B. Coverage Details – Qualifying Incidents

Refunds apply to the passholder and eligible dependents (spouse or legally dependent child aged 18 or under), provided each purchased the Refundable Option.
1. Injury or Sickness
A condition that prevents skiing or snowboarding for the duration or remainder of the applicable ski season, or death of the passholder.

·         Injury: Accidental bodily injury requiring treatment by a licensed medical practitioner

·         Sickness: Illness or disease requiring treatment by a licensed medical practitioner

·         Temporary conditions do not qualify

·         Documentation required


2. Employment Transfer

Employer-mandated relocation off Vancouver Island and surrounding islands.

·         A transfer by the passholder’s current employer requiring relocation.

·         Voluntary relocation for work or travel does not qualify

·         Documentation required.

3. Military Service
Called to active military duty, leave revoked, or reassigned.
 Documentation required.

4. Pregnancy
Pregnancy, complications, or childbirth occurring after coverage begins.
 Applies only to the pregnant passholder (not dependents).
 Documentation required.

C. Exclusions
Refunds are not payable for:

1.    The Refundable Option fee

2.    Employee, volunteer, industry, athlete, trade media, complimentary, or donated passes

3.    Discounts, vouchers, or credits applied at purchase

4.    Other products (lift tickets, rentals, programs, lessons, etc.)

5.    Claims submitted more than 30 days after the Qualifying Incident or after the last valid pass day

6.    Medical, travel, lodging, or other related expenses

7.    Any incident not listed as a Qualifying Incident

8.    Resort interruption, shutdown, or shortened season for any reason, including pandemics

D. Claims Procedure

1.    Claims must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the Qualifying Incident and no later than the final day of winter operations for the 2026/2027 season.

·         Doctor’s dated statement on official letterhead

·         Employer relocation letter 

·         Military deployment documentation 


The Resort reserves the right to deny claims that contain false, incomplete, or late submissions.

Shuttle Bus Terms & Conditions

2026–2027 Winter Seasonal Shuttle Option – Terms & Conditions

Seasonal Shuttle Pass

  • Seasonal Shuttle Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Passes are limited in quantity and available while supplies last.

  • Seasonal Shuttle Passes are non-refundable once the winter season has started, even if the pass has not been used.

  • No waitlist will be maintained. Once Seasonal Shuttle Passes are sold out, only daily shuttle tickets will be available for purchase at the mountain through retail locations or ticket kiosks.

Seasonal Shuttle Hours (During Winter Operations Only)

  • Shuttle pick-up and drop-off times are subject to change. It is the customer’s responsibility to check the current schedule prior to arrival.

  • A Seasonal Shuttle Pass does not guarantee a seat on a specific departure. The pass allows the holder to ride the shuttle without purchasing a daily shuttle ticket, subject to available capacity.

Lost or Stolen Passes

  • Guests are responsible for the care and safekeeping of their Seasonal Shuttle Pass.

  • Lost or stolen passes must be reported immediately.

  • Replacement passes may be issued at the resort’s discretion and may be subject to a replacement fee.

Operational Delays & Weather

  • Shuttle service may be delayed, modified, or suspended due to weather conditions, road conditions, mechanical issues, or other operational requirements.

  • The resort is not responsible for delays, missed departures, or service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond its control.

Passenger Conduct & Safety

  • All passengers must follow the instructions of shuttle drivers and resort staff at all times.

  • Guests must behave in a safe and respectful manner while using the shuttle service.

  • The resort reserves the right to refuse service or remove passengers who engage in unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior.

Pass Use & Misuse

  • Seasonal Shuttle Passes are non-transferable and may only be used by the registered pass holder.

  • Any misuse, duplication, or transfer of the pass may result in revocation of shuttle privileges without refund.

Agreement

  • By purchasing a Seasonal Shuttle Pass, the guest agrees to comply with all shuttle policies and terms outlined above.

Seasonal Locker Terms & Conditions

2026–2027 Locker Rentals

·         Seasonal lockers for the 2026–2027 winter season are available for rent.

·         Locker renewals are not automatic, and there is no guarantee that the same locker number will be assigned each season.

·         Lockers are limited in quantity and available while supplies last.

·         Lockers are assigned on a first paid, first issued basis.

·         Seasonal Locker rentals are non-refundable once the winter season has started, even if the locker is unused

 

Season End & Locker Clearance

·         The final day of the winter season is April 11, 2027.

·         All lockers must be cleared out by April 12, 2027.

·         Any lockers not cleared by this date will have their locks cut and contents removed by resort staff.

·         Mount Washington Alpine Resort is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items

·         Abandoned property disposal rights after season end.

Locker Use Guidelines

·         Guests must supply their own lock.

·         Do not touch or use any locker other than your own.

·         Guests are asked to be mindful of others when using the locker room.

·         Please change or collect your gear promptly and exit the locker room to allow other guests access.

Locker Room Hours (During Winter Operations Only)

The Alpine Locker Room is open during the following hours while the resort is operating for the winter season:

·         Sunday – Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

·         Thursday – Saturday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM

The locker room is not accessible during summer or shoulder seasons.

Alpine Locker Room Location & Conditions

·         The locker room is located on the basement floor of the Alpine Lodge, accessed from the backside of the building under Ted’s Bar & Grill, facing the Bradley Centre.

·         Please note that the locker room is not heated.

·         Guests are strongly advised to take ski or snowboard boots home to prevent them from freezing.

End of Season Responsibility

Locker rentals are seasonal only. Guests must ensure their locker is cleared out and their lock removed by April 12, 2027.
