Mount Washington Alpine Resort bus tracking service is now available; the Shuttle Bus tracking offers last known bus location information. Throughout the winter season, the bus offers a convenient way to get to and from Cumberland, Courtenay and the Comox Valley area,
Bus services shut down for the off season.
Mount Washington Alpine Resort has a Shuttle Bus available December-April to guests travelling to and from the Comox Valley. Pickup and drop off locations are located throughout the Comox Valley, and no advance reservations are required.
Some mountain partners also offer Shuttle Bus Services, such as the Mount Washington Ski Bus offering service from Victoria and south island.
By Road
Mt. Washington Alpine Resort is located 30 mins north of the Comox Valley, and 1.5 hours from Nanaimo where the Departure Bay ferry from North Vancouver is located, on beautiful Vancouver Island. We are easily accessible via Highway 1 and through the Comox International Airport. The Strathcona Parkway roads are maintained by MainRoads North Island. Catch a ferry if you’re travelling from the mainland to Vancouver Island and not flying. The West Vancouver to Nanaimo (Horseshoe Bay-Departure Bay) ferry takes about 1:40 hours and has about 11 schedules per day. This is particularly ideal if you’re coming from north of Vancouver.
Another main ferry route is the Vancouver to Nanaimo ferry (Tsawwassen-Duke Point) which takes 2 hours and has about 8 schedules a day.
All vehicles and drivers must be prepared for variable winter road conditions while travelling to and from Mount Washington. Carpooling is encouraged.

Let the North Wind be your guide! If that fails switch on the GPS and punch in our physical address: #1 Strathcona Parkway, Mt. Washington BC
BE ADVISED: The BC Ministry of Transportation (not to mention all the wonderful folks sharing the road with you) require all vehicles on Strathcona Parkway to be equipped with good winter tires and have chains available to use if the chain-up light is on. Strathcona Pkwy is a public roadway and is maintained by Mainroad. Please visit drivebc.ca

WINTER BUS SCHEDULEFor staff and guests, the Mount Washington Alpine Resort has a Ski & Ride Shuttle Bus available December-April to everyone travelling to and from the Comox Valley to Mount Washington on a daily basis during the winter ski season. Pickup and drop-off locations are located throughout the Comox Valley, and no advance reservations are required. Fare for the Mount Washington bus to and from the Comox Valley is $20 for a round trip.
