Give it a Shot Biathlon SEE ALL

Vancouver Island Biathlon Club is holding a Biathlon "Give it a Shot" event on Saturday, March 29th, between 1 pm and 3 pm. 

Participants will have one-on-one coaching and have a chance to combine skiing and shooting, to see how much fun it is to try and hit targets when your heart rate is up!

Vancouver Island Biathlon Club invites anyone interested in the exciting and challenging sport of Biathlon to come to "Give It A Shot!" This 30 – 45 minute introductory program gives participants the opportunity to try the marksmanship skills required for winter biathlon. Certified coaches will provide the participant with an overview of range and rifle safety as well as the basic mechanics of the sport.

In the sport of Biathlon what type of target is used and in what position it is used is determined by age. For this program, participants will shoot at the level which they can comfortably be successful, regardless of their age. The program fee includes certified rifle instruction, ammunition, as well as day-of insurance with Biathlon Canada.

Registration & Pre-registration is highly encouraged to ensure your time spot. Same Day registration is available by stopping by the VIBC Range Hut between 12pm and 1pm to see if there are any spots still available. All youth participants (ages 10-18) are required to go through the safety info session. Parents & guardians welcome to stay and watch.

The cost is $25 per person, $20 for SNSC members, and $15 for family member of VIBC member
