Elf Solstice: Ski Free Contest, Après & Late Night DJ Sessions

Elves Ski Free in the morning & Elves Solstice Sessions in Ted's!

Get your festive costume ready...We’re bringing back a long-lost Washy holiday favourite! Elves Ski Free, this time, on Winter Solstice with celebrations from après to late night. On Sunday, December 21, the first 100 guests to line up dressed in full Elf costumes by 8 am will get early loading privileges to take part in our video filming from 8:30–10 am and will receive a free lift ticket for that day. After a Sunday of fun on the slopes, everyone is welcome to join us in Ted's Bar dressed in their festive elf best for après and to rave until late night with local DJs PK Funk, DJ Greyzone, Mr. Mac, & Chunky Chornz Presented by Sitka Sound Collective.

ABOUT ELVES SKI FREE:

Who: Our holly-jolly mountain community of Elves!
What: The first 100 Elves to lineup in costume by 8am get a free lift ticket for the day! 
Pass Holders can still get in costume and participate, and receive a free lift ticket to gift to a friend for another time.
Where: Mount Washington & Ted's Bar (look for signage in-resort to lineup to ski free)
When: Sunday, December 21st
Why: To celebrate winter solstice!
How: Dress in your best holiday elf attire from morning until late night!

Minimum Elf costume requirements to qualify to Ski Free: 

• Green or red top & bottom: a matching set or clearly holiday elf themed 
• Elf hat with pointy tip and/or bells/pointy ears attached to your helmet
• Extra festive accessories: apron, candy-cane props, striped tights, belts, festive scarf, etc. 
• Ski & snowboard-safe: No loose dangling fabric longer than 6”, no long capes, no props that could endanger others or yourself.
• Only the first 100 to lineup by 8am in approved costumes will be accepted to ski free.
• Must be able to load Whiskey Jack/Eagle Chair and ski/snowboard intermediate terrain Linton's Loop

Not accepted for Ski Free: 

• Only wearing an elf hat
• Random holiday clothing (e.g., ugly sweaters) without full theme
• Onesies that don’t match Elf theme; Inflatable costumes
• Elf eligibility is up to the discretion of the MWAR events team and our assigned volunteers
