Book Reading - Radar the Rescue Dog

Join us for a reading by Janet Love Morrison; a Vancouver based author and editor, Who wrote "Radar the Rescue Dog" two years ago. The foreword is written by our new prime minister, Justin Trudeau. Radar was a real dog. He was Canada's very first avalanche rescue dog in 1978. It's a simple plot - kids go out of bounds on Whistler Mtn and Radar saves them. The intent is to teach young skiers and snowboarders mountain safety awareness. Ski patrol will be at this event to teach and explains the different signage and what to do if they get lost. The session gets back to learning to make good decisions so that doesn’t happen. The event takes about an hour.

Hot chocolate and a cookie for those in attendance.

Reading location: Learing Centre/Bradley building lower floor, Mountain Kids area.
