Skiing Level One

Ability Check for Programs at Mount Washington Discover Program – Designed for as an introductory skiing program for first timer skiers. Please use as a guide.

    Ability to:
  • Never skied prior
  • First time skiing.
  • Can your child control speed and Stop with a snowplow?

Snowboard Level One

    Ability to:
  • Never snowboarded prior
  • First time snowboarding
  • Can your child side slip on their heel Or toe side?

Skiing Level Two

    Ability to:
  • Is your child confident on green runs
  • And ready for the challenge of blue runs?
  • Is your child able to match their skis at the end of the turn on green runs?

Snowboard Level Two

    Ability to:
  • Can your child link turns on green runs?
  • Is your child confident on green runs
  • And ready for the challenge of blue runs?

Skiing Level Three

Ability Check for Programs at Mount Washington Our programs are dynamic and fun, the way skiing and riding is supposed to be. Please use as a guide.

    Ability to:
  • Does your child enjoy all blue runs
  • And the occasional black run?
  • Are your child’s skis parallel most of the time on blue runs?

Snowboard Level Three

    Ability to:
  • Is your child linking turns on blue runs with confidence?
  • Has your child started to carve their turns rather than slide their turns?

Skiing Level Four

Mountain Kids Eagles Program at Mount Washington Our programs are dynamic and fun, the way skiing and riding is supposed to be. Please use as a guide

    Ability to:
  • Is your child a confident parallel skier
  • Enjoys the challenge of skiing in powder & bumps
  • Enjoys the challenge of skiing in the terrain park
  • Correctly uses poles
